My first Creepypasta. A twist on 'Hetalia Episode 23.5'

Axis Powers Hetalia: The Consequences of Lost Episodes

I found it... Hetalia 23.5... after reading the CreepyPasta, I did some in-depth research into 'Lost Episodes' and somehow... somehow I stumbled upon it.. in a corner of the internet somewhere. It wasn't even on youtube... before writing this, I tried to find it again, for any of you who are truly that sadistic who would like to watch this, but it had been deleted. Not just the video. Not just the user on the site. But the whole site itself. When I found it, it was in Japanese, or so I thought, but when I clicked on the translate this page, it seemed to not only be in Japanese, but Japanese script mixed with Catonese Chinese. Google couldn't handle it. It said there was an error. To come back later. But the only sentence that wasn't in Japanese or Chinese, was the title of the video...

      8 5 20 1 12 9 1 1 24 9 19 16 15 23 5 18 18 19 5 16 9 19 15 4 5 : `23.5`

At first, I thought it was a random jumble of numbers. I then remembered something I'd picked up... somewhere... That 'E' was usually the most common number in a sentence... If this.. If this was code, then the number '5' appears the most. The rest was easy. I realised that E was the 5th letter of the alphabet, so I tried the other numbers with their corresponding letters. It all fitted, save fore the last word, which read 'W.E'

H E T A L I A   A X I S   P O W E R S   E P I S O D E : W.E

But the 'W.E'... maybe that stayed as a number? That would explain the ` marks around the number... If you put it like that...

H E T A L I A   A X I S   P O W E R S   E P I S O D E : 23.5

The lost episode of Hetalia. Appropriately named by others as 'Episode 23.5'. I tried to open up another page to bring up the CreepyPasta, but the option to open a new window or tab was in grey text. I tried right clicking my bookmarks bar to open Tumblr in a new window, or deviantART in a new tab. Neither worked. I tried clicking in the top-right corner, where the search bar was to type in text, but the text hover cursor didn't show. Confused, I tried clicking and typing, only to find that I couldn't search anything. I decided to copy the URL, only to have the copy option greyed out as well. After almost an hour, I realised that I couldn't click links, open my bookmarks, go through my history, nor could I force quit my web browser...

The only thing I could click was the play button for the video.

Why was I worried? I'd read the story so many times, in fact, this was probably just a jumpscare or other troll. I clicked the video, turning my sound down slightly, after finding that the quietest it could go was 10 blocks. Rather a high volume. The video seemed to buffer forever. The sound of crashing waves started to play, such a tranquil sound... such a tragic video... It may have been dubbed by others as 'Episode 23.5'... but by the end of this, I would be calling it 'The world's cold-blooded massacre'...

Italy was lying there happily, eyes closed. Illuminated by the fire in the style of Studio Deen, just like it said in the story. More of a fairy tale than anything..

Just without the 'happily ever after'.

A smile was apparent on the content Nation's face.

The view panned to Germany and Japan, murmuring between themselves. Inaudible. The sound quality was bad, fuzzy. As Italy played in the sea, laughing happily, their voices were slightly louder. Yet still, they were so quiet. I turned up the volume to full so I could hear them better.

It really was the official voice actors. Was the video really... official?

I preferred the Japanese dub of Hetalia. Mainly because I could never tell what France or Prussia were saying, despite how much I loved some of the English dub voices, the Japanese ones had more emotion. That emotion was made quite clear here. Germany was distraught. You didn't need to look at the fuzzy graphics to tell that...

Japan was calm...

Then again, Japan was always calm...

Unless somebody really annoyed him or he was put into an awkward situation.

Halfway through their conversation, the view panned back to Italy. He was splashing around joyfully. Suddenly, subtitles appeared.

This wasn't supposed to happen. I'd practically memorised the CreepyPasta. There were no subtitles in the episode. I spoke some basic Japanese, and was able to pick up on a few words before the subs appeared, but now... just... why? Why was it able to play on here in the first place? This episode was only on that Bootleg, right? It couldn't play on a computer. So how did it get onto the web?

Germany was clutching his stomach...

As was Japan.

'Doitsu, we have no other option'

Germany's eyes went wide, worry lines evident on his face.

'...I-I know... bu-'

'We were too kind. Italia doesn't come first. Always put yourself first, Doitsu.'

'We could just tell hi-'

'This is the only way..'

Germany's face. He was going to.. cry?

His face turned stoic.

Night fell.

My eyes went wide as they stood up. I knew what was happening next. I hit the spacebar to pause, but Germany and Japan continued to stand in unison after nodding briefly.

They picked up Italy. Gently... as if he would break from their touch... As if a single breeze could snap him in half. They carried him to the shore. I tried to look away, but I couldn't. There was nothing supernatural about the fact that I couldn't look away...

It was sadism.

I don't remember ever being sadistic before this event. No. Before the I read the CreepyPasta. I had almost enjoyed the screenshots of Italy's death. The 'Pasta had changed me. It was sadism that led me to research lost chapters of anime. I started to smile crazily as the nations placed him in the water. The view changed to Italy. His eyes opened so wide... The widest I'd ever seen of his eyes. He was thrashing around, letting out silent screams. I'm sure that I saw tears in his eyes. Something that Hetalia does a lot is make things impossible. I'm pretty certain that you can't cry underwater. But I didn't question it. Large bubbles flew from his mouth. He was screaming. Muffled. The sounds were, of course, muffled from the poor sound quality, as well as the fact that he was under water.

Italy was still.

“Gomenasai, Italia...” Japan. Was he... smiling? Just slightly. But the smile... it even...

The smile reached his eyes.

The smile that mirrored my own, without the horrified look in my eyes.

I had just witnessed him... die?

I needed the URL. I had no pen within arms reach, so, in my maddened state, I pulled out a sharpened scraperfoil tool from the bedside table next to me, using it as a scalpel and with a shaky hand, I cut the URL deeply into my hand until I could see bone. My eyes were still wide. I still couldn't look away from the screen. Blood flowed freely from my hand.

I held the scalpel/scraperfoil tool in front of the screen, seeing the blood drip down onto my right hand's fingers, then onto the keyboard of my pearly white MacBook. White turning red. Red. Red... I loved the colour.. The smile on my face turned into a grin as I thought of the colour of my blood. I was so lucky to have red blood. If my blood had been any other colour, it wouldn't have been anyway near as fun to watch it dripping from my hand.

Back to the screen, Japan's sword was unsheathed.

I still couldn't.. I couldn't look away. The maddening smile on my face must've been one to rival even Light Yagami from that other anime I was addicted to all that time ago. I had to finish this. It would even boost my non-existent ego.

Japan... what are you doing! He slit Italy open, the sound of tearing flesh was heard. Blood splattered over Japan's frame. I was shaking, but whether it was with horror or excitement, I never knew. His hand dove into Italy's body. He pulled out a... lung, was it? No... it was..

This is a lung, right teacher?” A little me, clad in my school uniform asked, playing with a brown pigtail, bright eyes wide. Little me was pointing at a diagram. The teacher smiled.

No, this is a liver. And this,” She said, pointing at the diagram, “Is a heart, a very special place. It's where all the blood comes from and it keeps you alive, blood does, do you understand now?”

Yes! Thank you teacher!!”

It was a liver. What a shame it wasn't a heart. That was where my love of biology had sparked. The heart. A special place. One where all the pretty, red blood came from. I guess my sadism back then was less major, but now?

Germany spiked the liver with a thin stick. Japan continued to pull out the organs, his face now content, but what for? Germany put the liver by the fire, as with the other organs..

They were hungry.

That was it? They were... hungry? They killed Italy because they were... hungry?

Germany handed Japan a kidney, and they both took a bite out of it. My smile began to drop.

Cannibalism in Hetalia? This couldn't be true! It must've been a fanmade video by the person who wrote the Creepypasta... right?

“D-Doitsu... Ni...Nihon?” The screen cut to Italy. His eyes were wide. He looked down at himself and realised what happened.

“Doitsu... Nani-... N-Nihon...”

He stopped, and his eyes shot open, wider than before. The sound seemed to readjust, as the waves were now loud.

Just as I was going to turn the volume down...

Italy screamed. So loud that I had to cover my ears. The fire in the scene went out. Germany's eyes... they were so full of guilt. Suddenly, the screen switched back to Italy. The style... it wasn't Studio Deen anymore... it was so realistic. The camera sweeped over his wounds, making me feel nauseous. The smile though... it creeped back on my face. Sadism is a curse.

Italy was still screaming. He somehow had got up, his insides falling out, eyes bloodshot. He was limping. Bleeding. Towards the screen. He yelled out in many languages. The same thing, it seemed, but then he yelled in accented English.

This... THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!” He screamed again, a blood-curdling shriek. He was running toward the camera, but then he stopped. It seemed that he was staring at me through the camera. he Stood still for a brief second and disappeared. I turned around, expecting him to be behind me, as was the tradition with Creepypasta, but he wasn't there. I looked back at the screen. The camera view showed America, England and China. They were lined up on the cliff, and they jumped down, ready to attack Germany and Japan. America saw the blood first.

Wha-what... happened...?” The screen went black for a moment, all I could hear was screams. I noticed the slight accents. What was happening to them?

The scene was shown again. On the floor laid England, America, China, Japan and Germany. My eyes were wide as I realised that they all were cut open, their own organs had been taken. I shivered. America's glasses were cracked, China's frying pan was filled with his own blood. Germany and Japan were missing limbs and all of their organs had been ripped out with fury, including their brains, where their skulls had been split with a blade, the brains lying in the hands of the owners. England's neck had been slit open, all the bones and muscle pulled out of it and lying around him.

Germany and Japan maybe deserved a punch, but what... what had the others done to deserve such a torture?

Italy appeared again, out of nowhere, his eyes were just over half open and glowing, and his body was limp. His kidney was hanging out of his mutilated body. Blood covered him, partially his own, but mostly other's life juice. His arms hung by his sides, in one hand, he held Japan's sword. He was walking again, towards the screen, talking in various languages. He spoke once in English...

No more... disruptions, ve~!” He sounded so happy... He stared straight at me through the screen, or so it felt. My eyes were so wide. He continued his stagger towards the screen. He got so close to the screen that he swiped his hand against it, smothering the screen in realistic blood smears. He was still advancing, you could see through the smears. I moved my face a little closer to the screen to make out Italy behind the red.

Without warning, Photo Booth opened. It hadn't even jumped on the dock before opening. I ignored it and continued to watch the screen.

More blood appeared on the screen. I assumed that Italy was cleaning the blood from his wounds or something. It dripped down the screen, the colour red that I loved so much. I glanced back at Photo Booth for a moment.

To see Japan's sword embedded up to the hilt in my throat. I looked down at myself, not seeing a sword in my throat, I ignored it as a trick. I looked back at the screen, waiting for the happy ending that had to come. This was Hetalia after all.

Footsteps...

The screen was all red now.

It didn't end this way in the Creepypasta though, ri-

Smash! The sound of something smashing was heard, the sound of glass smashing.

A hand had reached through the screen slowly. I backed away as an arm dove through as well. It receded though, so I passed it as a delusion.

I leant in closer again.

By the time the second smashing sound was heard, and the screen of the laptop was cracked, it was too late...

A Japanese sword impaled my throat, up to the hilt. My favourite colour coated the screen and keyboard. Before everything went black, I heard Italy's voice, speaking in English.

I told them I wasn't weak, they just didn't believe me, ve~!”

Then a giggle from an Italian.

And darkness.
